A Word on COVID -19
Dear Friends,

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
                                                                                         2 Timothy 1:7

Greetings in the wonderful name of Jesus. As you are already aware, all New Mexico public schools will be closed for the remainder of the semester. The safety and health of our church and school family is, as always, our highest priority. We can be cautious without panic or a “spirit of fear”. We are in Christ and are His children. We are people of faith. With that said, we will enact the following schedule changes for the spring term. Students will be given PACEs to work from home. Teachers will contact students on a regular schedule several times a week through “face time”, “google duo”, or zoom app. Completed work may be dropped off on Wednesday in bins outside your child’s class to be scored. Once scored, completed PACE’s along with a test for Parents to proctor at home may be picked up from the same bin on Friday. We are fortunate to have an individualized curriculum which affords us this opportunity. Goal cards and PACEs will be made available by Friday March 27th.

Key Details to remember:

•Zoom app will be used for video classes. Zoom can be used on phone, tablet, or PC
•Individual conferences will be through zoom, google duo, or face time
•Drop off bins available on Wednesday afternoon
•Tests, scored PACE’s, and new PACE’s available in bin on Friday

This is certainly not the way we envisioned finishing the year. Know that our prayers are with you and your family. Please let us know how we can make this new process easier. It is truly our desire to help and support our students throughout the end of the year. A decision regarding commencement will be coming soon.

These are certainly difficult days, however, we still find our hope in Christ.

“…and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”Philippians 4:7

Blessings,

Pastor Tim
